This breed type is located in the district of Muzafargarh and Multan in punjab province.they are named after dera din panah,a town in Muzaffargarh district.

HABITAT:

beetal goats are found in almost all the irrigated areas of punjab including district jehlum,gujrat,mandi bahauddin,gujranwala,lahore,sheikupura,faisalabad,sargodha,chakwal,jhang and okara.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Body colour is golden brown,or red spotted with white and black patches.the body is compact and well developed.the head is massive and broad.nose roman,and ears long,broad and pendulous,spiraled horns are long in males and short in females they have stout legs and a short tail.the udder is well developed .and teats are long.adult male and female weigh 46 and 36 kg respectively milk yield is 200 liters in the period of 120 days lactation.more then 50 percent of the births are twin or triplet.being smooth-coated animals they are not generally clipped beetal males are raised especially as sacrificial animals for slaughter in eid ul azha.

Habitat.

kamori breed is located in the popular areas of Sindh.they are considered a breed of the irrigated tract.True to type specimen are found near Hala and Saeedabad extending to parts of Nawabshah District

Physical characteristics

kamori are dark- brown with light brown or black patches of varying sizes.they are large,compact and high-set. the head is also very large.nose Roman:ears long.wide and drooping .the tail is small. male and female both are horned.the udder and teats are well-developed. milk yield is 210 litres in 115 days.Adult male and female are 50 and 40 kg respectively.

kamori breed is for milk yield and have been  exported to different countries.

HABITAT.

The pateri breed is found in the district of Nawabshah,hyderabad,khairpur and sanghar in Sindh

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS.

body colour is white and face,neck,ears and legs are reddish brown.the pateri is one of the heaviest breed of goat found in Sindh.The ears are long and dropping and wide at theend.the udder is well -developed,and milk yield is 170 litters in a 120 days lactation.Adult males and females weighs 52 and 42 kg respectively.twin birth is common. theses goats are raised for meat and milk.fattened males are in great demand for the slaughter on the Eid -ul -Azha.

Bari goats are found in parts of Hyderabad,Dadu,Larkana,Khairpur,

of Sindh.A strain of this breed is also found in some district of punjab. Jhang,Sargodha,Faisalabad and lahore

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Body color is usually white,brown,or spotted.it has compact body,small head with a long narrow snout,small,straight and erected ears and small pointed horns.udder and teats are moderate.weight
23-20 kg (male-female) milk yield is 100 liters in a lactation of 110 days.its predominantly a meat breed.they look like deer therefore mostly raised as fancy breed..

ears.while walking their head and neck are held upward,adult weight
30-25 kg(male-female).hair yeild is 600grm per head/annum.these
goats are raised for meat and hair
